Startup of the Year Award

In 2004, the Alliance of Angels created an annual award to recognize the efforts of early-stage companies that effectively use angel or venture capital to create businesses that have the potential to make a great impact in our region through multiple forms of value creation. Companies are nominated by the Alliance of Angels screening committee and are chosen based upon a presentation before an award committee. Winners are announced at the annual Technology Alliance luncheon held each Spring.

2007 Winner

The winner for 2007 was Redfin of Seattle, Washington. Read the press release.

Other finalists for 2007 were Amnis Corporation, Escapia, OnRequest Images, and SNAPin.

2006 Winner

The winner of the 2006 Startup of the Year Award was Pacific Bioscience Laboratories (Clarisonic) of Bellevue, Washington.

Runners-up in 2006 were Escapia, OnRequest Images, Redfin, ScaleOut Software, Inc., and SNAPin Software Inc

2005 Winner

The winner of the 2005 Startup of the Year Award was The Insitu Group of Bingen, Washington.

Runners-up in 2005 were Moblis and Pacific Bioscience Laboratories.

2004 Winner

The winner of the 2004 Startup of the Year Award was Neah Power Systems of Bothell, Washington.

Runners-up in 2004 were Votehere.net, Sunstream Boat-Lifts, The Insitu Group, and Vigilos.
