Introduction
The Alliance of Angels (AoA) is a regionally-focused group of over 100 individual investors and representatives of investment corporations. By applying to the Alliance of Angels, growth-oriented early-stage companies in the Pacific Northwest get exposure to our angel investor members. Our Program Managers work with entrepreneurs to provide in-depth coaching, and Alliance of Angels members have password-protected access to submitted business plans. After a rigorous screening process, selected early-stage companies have the opportunity to present their business plans at an AoA monthly membership meeting. Through this process, the Alliance of Angels acts as a "matchmaker" for young technology companies and interested investors.
The Alliance of Angels is a program of the Technology Alliance (TA) - a statewide network of businesses, research institutions, and industry trade associations dedicated to the common vision of an abundance of healthy and growing technology-based businesses in an expanding Washington state economy.
In 1997, a small group of private investors and members of the TA formed the Alliance of Angels (AoA) to help support the TA mission. The AoA is a group of individual accredited investors who are interested in taking equity positions in early-stage high-growth companies headquartered in the Pacific Northwest. The purpose of the AoA is to support the development of new high-growth companies by providing in-depth coaching and facilitating more efficient access to capital. Our organization provides insight to the entrepreneurial community as well as provides high-quality investment opportunities to our angel investor members.
The Alliance of Angels is a member of the Angel Capital Association. The Angel Capital Association is North America's professional alliance of angel groups. This association brings together the 200 angel organizations in the United States and Canada to share best practices, network, and help develop data about the field of angel investing.
